Attijariwafa bank Egypt Raises Awareness of the Students of The British University in Egypt through Sponsoring the COP 27 Simulation Model

Cairo, October 18, 2022:  The Bank’s responsibility towards raising awareness on climate agenda was the driver behind sponsoring the simulation, though providing knowledge to students by holding financial education seminars highlighting the role that financial inclusion in achieving the goals of sustainable development. The seminars will also discuss the importance of saving and the Bank’s various services and products to encourage students and include them within the financial system.

 

Timing with financial inclusion activations for savings under the auspices of the Central Bank of Egypt from October 15 to 31, the bank offers Wafa Saver Accounts without account opening fees, in addition to offering Ma’aki direct debit card (for women), direct debit cards, and Meeza cards without issuance fees. Accounts’ opening will be available through the Bank’s promotional booth at The British University in Egypt throughout the days of the conference from 18 to 20 October.

 

It is worth noting that this sponsorship comes in line with Attijariwafa bank’s strategy towards supporting sustainability and its belief in the importance of this model for youth, which is kindly sponsored by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Mohieldin, UN Climate Change High-Level Champion for Egypt (COP27) and the United Nations Special Envoy.
