Attijariwafa Bank Egypt joins the list of the first banks to meet the minimum capital and raises its issued capital to Seven Billion Egyptian pounds.

In accordance with the new law of The Central Bank of Egypt , Attijariwafa Bank Egypt joins the list of the first banks to meet the minimum capital and raises its issued capital to Seven Billion Egyptian pounds.

In line with The Central Bank of Egypt Law No. 194 of 2020 regarding raising the minimum capital for banks to reach Five Billion Egyptian Pounds, The Board of Directors of Attijariwafa bank Egypt approved increasing the authorized capital to Seven Billion Egyptian Pounds and increasing the issued capital to Five Billion Egyptian Pounds, and this was done during the Extraordinary General Assembly meeting that was held last September, in the presence of the Board of Directors, shareholders, auditors, and representatives of the Central Bank of Egypt

The entire amount of the increase amounting around Four Billion Egyptian Pounds, financed from the legal reserve, retained earnings, and year-earnings. This has been paid according to the documentary examination report and the financial statements ending on December 31, 2020, and this has been noted in the bank’s commercial register
