Cairo, April 2nd,2020: In line with its strategy to support financial inclusion and women economic empowerment, Attijariwafa bank Egypt launched the first debit card for women in the Egyptian market. The launch times up with the month of celebrating women worldwide and offers a wide variety of specially designed privileges to its card holders ranging from beauty salons, clinics, cosmetics up to sports, Maaki cardholders enjoy big discounts, cashback and ongoing offers.
To add up more exclusivity, the card is now offered in two different designs as a start. Female customers will have the chance to choose between more designs in the future according to their personality and taste. Male customers can apply for their first degree family members or request it as a supplementary card for gifts while maintaining privacy of primary account.
The bank celebrated the month of women in many other ways. A superwomen contest was won by four great role models in the bank whereby others were recognized as runner-ups. Specialized sessions were also conducted including tips for professional outfits and better nutrition for working ladies and moms.
Branching out to the community at large, the bank partnered with Misr El Kheir for the third year in a row to release indebted women by donating the amounts allocated to the female employees’ women’s day
