Attijariwafa bank Egypt participates in Three Securitization Deals

Attijariwafa bank Egypt participated in three securitization deals during 2020 which comes as part of its keen efforts to support Egypt’s national development plans.

 

Cairo, July 28th, 2020: Attijariwafa bank Egypt acted as an underwriter in the first bond issuance of Tanmeyah Company for Microfinancing Services, an EFG Hermes subsidiary. The bond’s total amount is EGP 545MN, and the issuance consists of one tranche with a twelve-month maturity, of which Attijariwafa bank Egypt’s share was EGP 100MN.

The bank has also acted as an underwriter in a securitized bond offering worth of EGP 562MN by Raya Holding Group in favor of three companies “Raya Electronics, Aman Financial Services and Aman Micro Finance”. The offering consists of four tranches with six, nine, twelve and thirty-six months maturities, where Attijariwafa bank Egypt’s share was EGP 85M.

Moreover, Attijariwafa bank Egypt took part in the biggest securitization bond issuance in the Egyptian Market along with leading local and international banks, launching the forth securitization bond of El Taamir Securitization Company, where Attijariwafa bank Egypt engaged with a ticket of EGP 320 MN.

It is Worthy to mention that the bank has participated in five securitized bonds offerings during 2019 covering different sectors namely leasing, microfinance, personal lending and auto.
