In line with 2018 as the Year of Persons with Disability in Egypt, Attijariwafa bank Egypt for the second time supports people with disabilities during Amwal Al Ghad Magazine Event

This is the second time to support people with disabilities; building on the success of “Helm” initiative that came after announcing 2018 as the year of people with disabilities in Egypt. Attijariwafa bank Egypt supported and honored the young and inspiring calibers with two awards for best young talents. The first went to Egyptian Champion Amr Hegazy who swam from Egypt to Jordan, having only one leg, in defiance of his disability. The second prize was awarded to Salma Alaa whose down’s syndrome did not stop her from achieving first place in 2014 World Championship in Karate in Germany.

Attijariwafa bank Egypt was also the platinum sponsor for “Accessibility Matters” campaign launched by Helm Foundation that aims to facilitate and develop mobility for people with disability. This initiative provides appropriate pedestrian paths, underground metro stations and public transportation for people with disabilities around Cairo University area. This stems from the belief in the crucial importance of supporting youth in general through facilitating their access to education.
